TBA Outdoors has an exciting opportunity for a Public Relations Manager to join our steadily expanding team. We are seeking an experienced PR professional who can take a leadership role in building our outdoor clients’ businesses through engaging storytelling and media relations. This includes developing business building ideas that drive results and solving everyday business challenges, all while staying organized and communicating clearly in our fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities for this role include:

-Work in tandem with the Client Services and Creative teams to develop and manage innovative PR strategies for outdoor industry agency accounts, including but not limited to these categories:

-Boating

-Outdoor Apparel & Gear

-Grills

-Fishing Tackle

-Hunting Gear

-Develop relationships with local, trade, regional and national media of interest.

-Oversee the pitching process, cultivate and develop leads and encourage positive exposure for our clients’ businesses.

-Develop and manage client relationships and work closely with other Public Relations teammates to achieve on-going results.

-Manage crisis communications and develop escalation policies. 

-Develop PR plans as part of a fully integrated agency approach.

Qualifications for this role:

-A Bachelor's degree in English, communications, or a related field

-3-5 years of experience in applicable fields (PR, Media Relations, Communications, Content Marketing)

-Experience in the outdoor industry strongly preferred

-Strong understanding of modern public relations and marketing communications tactics

-Understanding of social media and content marketing as they apply to PR

-Excellent time and calendar management skills

-Ability to work in fast-paced and pressured environment while remaining proactive, resourceful, and efficient

-Ability to work well in a team environment

-Agency experience preferred

 

While working remotely from home is an option, we are looking for candidates that live in or are willing to relocate to the Southeast (NC, SC, TN, FL)
