Reporting
to: Engineering Manager
Location: Evansville, IN
Status: Exempt
Job
Purpose: Works in
conjunction with product managers and sales staff to Create, Develop and Test
Archery, Hunting and Outdoor Products.
Essential
Duties/Responsibilities
=
Design Archery, Hunting and Outdoor Products using CAD, while communicating with the
Manufacturing team and Product Management team to ensure that the designs are
achievable and meet expectations
=
Develop and build
prototypes to measure the level of function, performance and reliability
=
Record and evaluate
testing data, altering designs as necessary to bring products safely and timely
to market
=
Consult with the
Product Management team during product design, advising them on design, specs,
and outcomes
=
Assist Product
Management, Customer Service and Manufacturing by providing physical assistance
when required
=
Research competitor
products with the Product Development team to generate new ideas for making our
products the best in the market
=
Calculate cost
estimates for final product designs
=
Enter and maintain
BOM’s for manufactured products
=
Attend weekly
engineering meetings to provide progress reports, strategize on next steps and
acquire information about new product direction
Qualifications
& Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Manufacturing or Mechanical
Engineering or equivalent
- 3-5 years’ experience in a professional engineering
position
- Analytical mind inclined toward developing practical
solutions to real-world problems
- Proficiency with CAD, SolidWorks and Microsoft Office
