Eastside Sports is currently looking for a merchandising manager and assistant buyer for our store. We are looking for a person who is naturally curious about their fellow human beings and who get a personal spark from helping others, doing a good job, and learning.

Job Description & Requirements
Our store is a small store, and our employees serve many roles. Primary among these is the need to assist shoppers with making purchasing decisions as well as working at the cash register, receiving merchandise, and helping keep the building clean. The merchandising manager will additionally manage the display and organization of incoming product including clothing, outdoor equipment and footwear. Additionally, the position includes buying duties, primarily clothing. Likely travel twice a year to four day long trade shows will be part of the position.
Will train, however skills required include buying experience in the outdoor specialty space - especially clothing; retail sales; outdoor skills such as climbing, backpacking and the like are highly desirable.
Friendly communication skills a must
Interest or experience in travel or outdoor activities
Professional, solutions-oriented demeanor a plus
Strong desire to learn and maintain deep product knowledge a must
This is an hourly/wage position. Wage will be competetive and dependant on experience.
