Sales Associate
The Sales Associate position is responsible for providing the best shopping experience for our customers. The Sales Associate is responsible for the areas of customer service and sales, store merchandising and maintenance, product education, store operations and training.
Essential Duties:
Customer Service/Product Education/Training and Sales
= Greet all customers promptly and courteously as they enter the store.
= Direct customers accordingly based on customer need.
= Give accurate and current information about the product for all inquiries; if the correct information is not at hand, do everything possible to assist the customer prior to the customer leaving the store.
= Review products online for the company – this is valuable opportunity to educate the customer who shops us in-store or on-line.
= Utilize the tools and training provided by the Company to develop selling and service skills, resulting in long-term customer relationships and increased sales.
= Act as a company ambassador – by participating and providing social content and promoting events.
= Maintain a positive, respectful, friendly and courteous attitude at all time.
Merchandise and Maintenance
= Check stock daily and restock when necessary.
= Communicate when appropriate with the buyers when stock is low or out.
= Assist in displaying all featured merchandise prominently in each section.
= Maintain a clean and well-organized back-stock area.
= Vacuum, sweep floors, empty trash and refresh bathrooms when necessary and in need.
= Ensuring a clean, refreshed and welcoming retail environment at all times.
Operations
= Report to work on time or notify in advance if absent or late
= Cross train to use cash register for back up.
= Practice security measures that help prevent theft.
= Practice safety consciousness always.
Physical Requirements
Continually able to stand/walk for extended periods of time.
Continually able to reach overhead, bend, squat, kneel, and carry product, necessary for customer service, inventory re-stock, and store merchandizing.
Able to walk up and down staircase, carrying boxes, product, and other necessary items.
Ability to perform store maintenance: sweep, vacuum, empty trash, clean, etc…
Able to lift 55 lbs.
Ability to climb ladders.

2+ years in a customer service and/or sales position in a retail environment

US Outdoor is open 7 days a week. All employee’s must be available for weekend, opening and closing shifts.
