Position / Company Overview:

Shore Break Bikes is a full service 4000 sq. ft. bike shop at the beach, and we are expanding to a brand new 2nd location on the Cape Fear River. We are seeking mechanics for full-time year round positions. We carry 8 lines of bicycles including Cannondale, GT, Fuji, and multiple beach bike lines. We also stock parts, accessories, and gear. We service all makes and models of bikes, and have a rental fleet. We have a wide variety of customers and take pride in our 5 star customer service. 

 

 Work in a brand new shop with great access to cycling corridor, trails, fishing, and boating and kayaking area year round.

 

Bicycle Mechanic Responsibilities:

Proficiently execute assembly, repairs, and maintenance for all types of bicycles.

Create service tickets, estimates, and enter completed orders. 

Maintain an organized, clean, and efficient work environment.

Ensure and all-around excellent customer experience.

 

Bicycle Mechanic Requirements:

Bicycle certified or equivalent work experience in a bicycle shop. 

Passion for cycling and learning new bike technology.

Excellent customer service, communication skills, and issue resolution.

Computer skills required. 

Self Motivated independent worker, able to manage time and evaluate work load and prioritize for efficiency. 

Enthusiastic and able to work under close scrutiny of the customer and work effectively as part of a team.

Kayak experience a plus.

About Shore Break Bikes

Shore Break Bikes was founded in 2013.  The shop quickly established itself in Carolina Beach.  In 2020 a second location opened in the growing River Lights community on the Cape Fear River.  We continue to take pride in customer service, and our involvement in local events.  Locally owned and operated and a member of the Chamber of Commerce since 2013.  We carry everything from cruisers to Carbon road bikes with 10 lines of bikes including Cannondale, Fuji, and GT.  We service all makes and models of bikes including E bikes.  The locations will not disappoint, from the scenery at the beach to the sunsets on the Cape Fear River, not to mention year round riding weather.
